
Dr. Maryam Sani is a distinguished academic leader, strategic advisor, and a recognized authority in STEM education, bringing over three decades of expertise to global initiatives. As a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) and an EdTech pioneer, her work is anchored by a deep commitment to building world-class educational pipelines and driving equity and inclusion, a passion reinforced by her PhD on female STEM career paths in KSA.
Dr. Sani is a seasoned former Academic Head and strategic leader, whose experience extends to high-level organizational management and large-scale academic transformation. She has navigated complex regulatory environments and achieved remarkable growth, including a 400% enrolment increase in core disciplines through strategic restructuring and innovative technology integration. She has also spearheaded prestigious international collaborations, notably pioneering the Saudi Women in Technology program at MIT and the CubeSat Challenge at the Intrepid Museum in New York.
A critical component of her expertise is in accreditation and quality assurance (QA). Her tenure on QA teams for global benchmarks such as Pearson, AdvancED, and Mawhiba provides her with a sophisticated understanding of how to design, audit, and validate educational programs to meet international gold standards. This deep experience is leveraged in her role on the Board of the Organisation for Business Innovation and Sustainability (OBIS), where she helps ensure the delivery of world-class accreditation in business innovation and sustainable leadership. Currently, Dr. Sani serves as the MENA Lead for STEMAIVERSE and the Education Lead for the Space Prize Foundation, remaining at the forefront of STEM education and sustainable leadership to ensure the organization delivers a world-class educational pipeline. She applies her extensive background in institutional oversight, leadership, and accreditation to drive growth and global excellence across all her engagements.
